Hi ! I'm Donna, a quilter in Lucan, Ontario, Canada. I was introduced to quilting in 2008 when I requested a quilt from Victoria's Quilts Canada for a close friend dealing with cancer. Sewing is something I have enjoyed since I was a child, so it was a good time to learn something new.
In 2010 I purchased a mid arm quilting machine and frame which allowed me to finish my own quilts. I am also an active member of Victoria's Quilts and quilted several hundred charity quilts on this work horse. The size was somewhat limiting so in 2016 I graduated to a computerized long arm which now allows me to finish king sized quilts.
I have lost count of how many quilts I have made but many special ones come to mind: baby quilts for those new little members of the family, a tee shirt quilt for our son Sean, a unique wall hanging for our daughter in law Hana, a really warm rag quilt for our son Derek, wedding quilts and dozens of place mats and table toppers. I've quite the stash to work through and lots of ideas to keep me busy.
